The Lunatic Immortal
Where are thy townsfolk who promised and sweared upon our god to help me, hold me and reprise me of the jovial memories when I lose myself? Why can’t I beam or stumble upon smiling faces anymore? Since the day I lost my shining soul, her radiant and glowing smile, the world seems a bit more disheartening towards me. I see her in my dreams(save for the fact that I dream with open eyes now).
The sun and the moon follow an alternate cycle, the sun shining upon the rooftops of this damned city, the moonlight piercing through the little untaped end of the ceiling falling upon the bloodhound I ripped apart the other day.
When same beam of moonlight glitters through the tiny patch again and falls upon my chest(precisely on the left side), it reminds of the days she used to lie there comfortably. Sometimes I would falter and go out of control and her inadvertent gaze was apparently healing enough for me to calm myself down.
The curse of death took her away from the lunatic who is free of the curse of demise.
“I loved her like a bee who loves a sunflower, long unaware of the fact that when the sunrays would dull, the bee would be left all alone in its hive.”
