CELESTIAL EQUINOX
It was past midnight. The streets were as calm as the deep ocean without any human interference, as nature reclaimed its territory from its own kin, Homo sapiens. The owls and bats were having an enigmatic blast with the freezing breeze as it bent to the rhythms of lightning and thunder. A group of Iris-Purple mixed golden-colored Hedylidaes were being playful with the lightning, as its shiny golden sparkles marked the beginning of an enchanted night. The silent invitation was delivered to all living creatures by the snowy mist. The feast of the night continued with full energy and spirit, while humans were fast asleep, traveling to the land of Morpheus. As the night's festivities carried on, humans were busy traveling to Morpheus' world in their dreams. The party of the night was at its peak, with humans asleep, when a building emitted colorful beams into the snowy mist, acting as an uninvited guest to nature's unfathomable feast. The feast spoke of mystery, but the building itself was a mystery. The curious Hedylidaes in the sky moved towards the building, which was covered in snowy mist, to welcome the uninvited guest along with the chilling breeze. The Hedylidaes were excited to enter through the doors, which opened automatically upon their arrival to the building named "Shangri". They were amused by the sight of the garden in the middle of the building and began to search for nectar in the Bramakamal and cereus flowers. The building was filled with five cafes, resting rooms, a magnetic garden, and many doors with mysterious presences. A young boy, who appeared to be in his twenties, was busy welcoming the guests and attending to their needs as the receptionist of Shangri. The entire building was crowded with mysterious people, giving off an enigmatic vibe. Though the place was packed, it was still a pond after a storm.
The young boy seemed tired and was waiting for his shift to end. A lady entered the building, appearing as fresh as the morning dawn, and moved towards the boy with a smile on her face. The boy seemed relaxed and happy upon her arrival. He ran towards her and gave her a warm hug, saying, "I can finally breathe now. The guests are flooding in, and without your help, it's hard to handle them on my own. And wait... wait... I thought it would take more than a week for you to return and complete the assignment given by our master. What happened there?" He was happy for her return, but at the same time, shock mixed with curiosity took over his thoughts.
"I thought so... but so many things happened... It's a long story, let's save that for later," the lady said with a smile and a calm face, but her mind was stormed with heavy thoughts and emotions.
"It looks as if nature is having a feast outside. What a pity, humans can never enjoy it and..." With a pause, he continues, "it's far better without human presence."
"Humans are mundane creatures, they can't enjoy it because they don't bother or care about nature. But Angad, a feast without trouble, that's not a party at all," she says with a playful tone.
"Master's anger is at its peak at the moment. So, meet him when he cools off," he whispers to her.
"Who or what triggered his anger? Did anything big happen during my absence or did I happen to miss some fun?" She seems curious and excited to gather the information, which is her fun activity, but at the same time her mind is filled with worries about what will happen when she delivers the news about the assignment.
"Nobody knows anything, what stirred his anger..." he says as he collects some pieces of paper from the reception table.
The lady moves near the door to enjoy the freezing breeze and with a loud laughter, she utters, "Here comes the trouble, that makes the feast a blast... Now, I think I can guess what and who made our master lose his temper."
The boy seems clueless and moves towards the door. He sees a girl who is in her late twenties with a bright red saree, forest green blouse, and white sneakers, walking towards the building against the snowy mist. As the mist covered her face, he couldn't get a clear picture of her, but when she entered the staircase of the building, Angad lost his words and stood motionless, as he was too shocked and surprised upon her arrival to Shangri at that time.
The lady received the girl with laughter and said to her, "My arrival timing is so pitch perfect, otherwise I would have missed this great fun."
"I will let you enjoy the show, but all that I need at this moment... is my favorite drink." The girl moved towards Angad, who stood motionless. "I thought you would be happy to see me..." said it in a dejected tone.
Angad, who seemed to be lost in space for a few seconds, quickly responded to her in a furious tone, "Favorite drink... enjoy the show..." after a deep breath, "Amriti, don’t pull a long face and leave right now... how could you even think of visiting this place, only a few hours left... return back..."
"Don't bother. Let him take his time to cool off, I will prepare your drink." The lady understood that Amriti doesn't wish to go back to her place.
"No... No... There is no way in, she must go back," Angad is not ready to accept the situation. He tries to stop her before entering the door.
"Angad, I understand that you care for me. But going back isn't the best idea," Amriti said in an earnest way. It wasn't an easy decision for her, but she was between a rock and a hard place. Then, she shifted to a playful mood and provoked Angad by saying, "Most importantly I have access to a purple card and denying the entry of a purple card holder will have its own consequences.”
“But wait… wait… you left Shangri years before but how did you even find us?” Angad was happy to see her but was confused in that situation. Because Shangri is an enchanted place, which can be accessed or entered by beings who possess gold-luna cards. When the card is activated, the person can enter the realm of Shangri no matter where they are on earth. There are rankings in Shangri and one who possesses the purple card can’t be denied entry in any kind of situation. But when one decides to leave Shangri for once and for all, they can't find a way in again. Shangri is visible only for those who have entry cards and not for others.
“Amriti didn't leave Shangri entirely... she just quit her work here... so she can enter whenever she desires," Vishakanya clarified Angad’s doubt.
"I thought once they left... they can’t enter," Angad was still confused about the laws of Shangri.
"You are just a new baby, even though you have worked here for ten years... There's still room for you to learn. I have been working here for decades but am still a learner. Shangri will always surprise us with its laws," Vishakanya laughed as she spoke, wondering about the majestic history of Shangri.
"Just because I haven't visited this place for years, doesn't mean I can’t enter Angad. Shangri is a part of my soul. I will never lose my right towards this place. Shangri never fails to amuse me. It existed during my great-great grandparents' time... it's even older than Phoenician alphabets. Can you all believe that? Shangri is a treasure with a mystery," Amriti's love towards Shangri was evident in her words.
Angad conveyed his thoughts to Amriti, "I'm just trying to help you figure things out. Now, I know what made the master furious. It's not advisable to walk inside the lion's den because it will eat you alive. Going back can save a lot of trouble for everyone around you, including me."
"I’m happier to be eaten alive than to let my soul burn," she said with a grin.
"If the master knows you are here, then..."
The lady interrupted Angad and said, "She made her decision. So, none of your words will have power over her."
"Angad, I know the consequences of my actions. I will handle the master, and don't worry about that," Amriti's words sounded confident, but her eyes told another story. She knew that she couldn't handle the master's anger, but she was blindly hopeful that she could persuade the master's thoughts in favor of her actions.
"Vishakanya, talk some sense into her. She can't gamble with her life. What she got to know is a precious opportunity to rewrite her own story. Not many will get this," as Angad was talking to Vishakanya, Amriti stepped nearer to the door and it opened automatically. As soon as she entered the building, various emotions filled her mind. She moved to the receptionist desk and entered her entry in the record book.
"You have no intention of returning back... no matter what happens there...?"
"Isn't that obvious, Angad?" Vishakanya laughed. "Amriti, Doves Cafe has only two or three customers while others are crowded. So, take a seat in Doves Cafe, and I will serve you with your favorite drink and snacks."
"Going back can be the best option for now, but it isn't the best choice for the future. Past actions frame tomorrow's future," Amriti's eyes displayed sorrow and worries hidden in her heart.
All three were silent for a few seconds. The silence of the place was interrupted as customers entered the reception. Amriti left the place by tapping her hands on Angad's shoulders with a smile, and Angad started to register the customers' entry and guided them to their respective places while Vishakanya moved towards the kitchen.
The garden served as the focal point of the building, forming a circular layout for Shangri's infinite number of floors. Massive trees and climbers in the garden provided an enchanting woodland vibe. Doves Cafe was located on the first floor of Shangri. As Amriti climbed the stairs, she relished the scent of the lady of the night and felt nostalgic. She reminisced about her time in Shangri with her group. All the memories flashed like lightning before her eyes in a matter of seconds. Amriti entered the cafe, which had round tables with four chairs in a circular pattern. The cafe was decorated with climbers and small plants. Amrita took a seat in the middle of the cafe, which had two other customers and a waiter.
While waiting for Vishakanya, she remembered what happened in the morning.
The sky is bright, the ocean clear as crystal. The waves dance slowly to the rhythm of the cool air. The fragrance of the air makes us feel elated. The sun shines brightly, looking majestic like a small, bright orange-yellow ball between the sky and the ocean, like a key that combines two different worlds. The bright blue sky suddenly transforms into an orange, yellow, and pink sky. The lovely blue ocean reflects the colors of the sun and the sky. The cool, soft air suddenly starts to roar wildly, causing the waves to lose control and compete with the roar of the air. The few coconut trees present there lose their gentle nature. Beautiful blue butterflies are busy collecting honey on the flowers beneath the coconut trees. Seeing the situation, they start to fly together, enjoying themselves in that lovely scenario, flying in zigzag ways to reach their home. While flying, they circle the neck of the girl sitting by the coconut trees on the seashore, holding her legs with both hands. She has left her black sandals and phone behind her, her silky brown hair floating in the ocean of air. She looks brighter than the moon, calm and silent as the depth of the ocean, her eyes fixed on the sun, her mind filled with unanswered questions.
‘The sun brings new hope daily to the Earth, dispelling darkness and filling the world with brightness. When will this sun enter my life and remove all the darkness in which I have lived for the past five years?’
By thinking that, she smiles slightly at the sun. She may appear calm on the outside, but inside her, there is an active volcano that bursts out every second. Her heart bears more pain than it should. Witnessing her pain, even nature turns silent and starts to cry. The rain drizzles in the presence of the sun and stops after a few minutes. The whole place is silent, as if a huge storm is waiting to visit the future. A beautiful, long U-shaped rainbow appears in the sky, reflected in the water. It seems as though the majestic sun is stuck between the lovely rainbow circle. Seeing the magic of nature, the girl stands up briskly with a huge smile and hope on her face, thinking that her future will be as colorful as the lovely rainbow. She stands up, removing the sand from her long greenish dress. She looks up at the sun with a lovely smile, thanking it for giving back her lost hope. She believes that her new journey, which she is going to begin, will give her all the things she has lost before. She puts on her black sandals, picks up her phone, and removes the sand from the back of the phone. She is shocked to see 30 calls from her mom, dad, and her friends Aerin and Balin after unlocking the phone.
"Amriti… Amriti… Amriti…" a voice calls from a distance. A man appears near the girl. His anger bursts out like custard in oil, both in his voice and his face. He wears a plain white full-sleeved shirt with half-folded and tucked blue pencil jeans. He is six feet tall and has a perfectly fit body. He comes near her as he speaks over his phone and cuts the call as he reaches her.
"Balin… What happened? Why are you yelling my name?"
"Why didn’t you answer my call? I called you ten times. Can't you come back on time? You told Aerin that you would be back within an hour, but look at the time now. Can't you be serious? It’s been three hours. Everyone is tense. But you are sitting here and enjoying nature. At Least, Can't you pick up any of our calls?" he blasts out like a bomb before her.
"I'm sorry. My phone was on silent mode, just noticed. I know it's my mistake… just lost in my thoughts. Calm down."
"Wow… Calm down…" he says, gritting his teeth. His tension is clearly visible in his face.
"Don't worry. I won't run away anywhere. Admire the beauty and magic of nature before you."
"Can you remember what day is tomorrow? Everyone's eyes are searching for you. Some came directly to your parents asking for you. Harish is managing everything alone."
"Did I ask for a destination wedding? That too in this grand manner… wait… did I ask for this marriage, first?"
"He arranged everything for you. It is your wish. He prioritizes your feelings and wishes."
"It was my wish years ago. But everything has changed now. You know what we all have gone through and what I=we all gave up. I can't forget that past. I have no interest in this marriage or him. He is a good fellow… he deserves much more."
"None of us can forget the past, but we have to move on accepting it. Your past is only a small part of your life. By focusing on the past, don't let the huge part of your life remain incomplete. Focus on your present. It's been five years. Forget about Eliphas and that unknown guy you crave to meet. We tried in the past to find him, but it's a lost cause. Life goes on, and so should you. None of us want to see your life being destroyed before our eyes. He loves you, and he is the perfect match for you. He has no interest in your past. I know you have no interest, but believe me, after this marriage, you will regain all your lost hope and happiness. Your life will change."
"Well… I know I have no other option left at this moment but only to marry him."
"It's your best option. Now, let's go back."
A girl approaches them with a tense face. She is wearing a plain full pink silk saree with a green embroidered blouse. She wears a gold necklace with a flower design, matching earrings, and bangles. As her hair floats in the air, She shouts at them with anger. "Hey… what makes you two stand here? What did I tell you, Balin, and what are you doing?"
"Baby, I was about to leave the place with her."
"Aerin… I'm coming…" Amriti says with a dejected tone.
Suddenly, a thunderous sound jolted Amriti back to consciousness. "What a nuisance...what an impediment," a deep voice echoed from afar.
Amriti, who had been focused on the climbers dominating the wall, was startled by the voice. She turned towards the cafe's entrance, where a man in his sixties entered with a majestic aura and a body like a bodybuilder. His unhappy expression and demeanor were evident as he made his way to a seat, opposite to Amriti.
A shiver ran through Amriti's body as she stood up and greeted him with a fearful smile. "It's so good to see you."
"But I'm clearly not...what an idiot you are...you think you made the right decision," his words cut through the air like a sword. The two customers and the waiter quietly left the cafe, frightened by his anger.
"I made the least bad decision I could," Amriti replied.
"Running away from your wedding... the night before, huh?" His eyes burned with rage. "Giving you that Purple card was the worst decision I ever made."
"Please don't be mad, Master," Amriti pleaded. "I know running away from my wedding wasn't a great thing, but I had no other options left." She moved closer to him, taking his hand. "You said this would be my second home, and I have nowhere else to go."
"Yes, I did say that...you are like my daughter, and that's why I'm mad," he said with a caring tone. "What kind of father would be happy when his little one runs away from her wedding?"
"Please...please...don't be mad, Master...you know the reason," Amriti begged.
"Don't tell me you ruined Harish's life for that unknown guy?" His anger flared as he spoke.
"That unknown guy saved my life three times, and I feel like he's my destiny," Amriti confessed. "I ran away to find out all the answers for all my questions which have been tormenting my heart for years and also in a way to protect Harish's future and happiness. The way I tried to stop the wedding was wrong, but it was the best I could do at the time." Her voice faltered, and her heart weighed heavily.
"Justifying your actions will never right the wrong, Amriti," he said sternly.
Their conversation was interrupted by a sound of laughter. "What an unrequited love! I never once thought I would witness such a historical moment. The ice-hearted princess fell in love and to find her hero, she ran away from her wedding," Vishakanya couldn't stop laughing after teasing her but fell silent when the master turned towards her with a look of fury. She placed Amriti's drink and snack silently on the table and pretended as if she wasn't there.
Another voice, as fearful as the night, spoke up, "How can you conclude that's the right decision for Harish?" This was followed by another melodious voice saying, "Leaving behind such a glorious destiny for some unknown dark, mysterious destiny, does it sound heroic or foolish?"
"Well, for sure... it's foolish, not even a small doubt," Angad replied. Angad entered the cafe, along with two others.
Amriti stood up, her expression indicating that she had been caught red-handed and stood motionless. The harsh and soft voices belonged to Amriti's friends Balin and Aerin, who is also Balin's wife. They both greeted the master, to which he shook his head as a sign of welcome. Amriti was confused and shocked to see them there because she had made sure to distract them to search for her in another place. Seeing them, she was afraid that they would drag her to the wedding which was scheduled in the morning.
Seeing the confusion on Amriti’s face, Angad stated, "The master told me to inform them that you are here." Amriti turned towards the master in disbelief. The master said, "It's Shangri. When someone steps in, it will come to my notice. And don't forget, they are Elves. Even if I didn't leave them a message, they would have found you no matter what."
"Master, I came to Shangri because... I thought you would help me."
"I'm only helping you, my child."
"Whatever emotions you are facing now, it's just marriage fever. Trust me, Amriti, it's for the best. You decided to leave this life in Shangri and move on in the normal world five years ago." As the master spoke, his face showed how much he cared for Amriti and wished only the best for her.
"Amriti, we decided that night we would never turn back, no matter what." As the conversation continued, everyone took a seat facing each other. Aerin's caring words then continued with irony, "This world has done what's best it could for us in all the great ways."
Amriti begins to narrate her emotions and turmoil to them. "Five years ago, on that fateful night when we lost our entire team in an unfair battle, we made the decision to leave our work in Shangri behind and live in the normal world. Aerin had always yearned for a life free from powers, magic, and conflict, desiring a quiet, normal existence. Balin, devastated by the loss, now prioritizes the safety of Aerin and myself above all else. They both adjusted to my kind and found peace in their new lives. I had hoped for a return to normalcy as well, but you all know the backstory of how I stumbled into Shangri and the mystical realm. Without Eliphas, I wouldn't have crossed paths with any of you or discovered this hidden world. His death... his death..."As her words falter, Amriti continues, "His death was one of my major factors in my decision to leave it all behind. He was my brother, not by blood, but by soul. His last words, 'Sorry for dragging you into this mess, start living a normal life,' haunts me, even today."
Tears stream down her face as she adds, "My life in Shangri ended that night, but not my love for you all. It's my second home; we are family. After Balin, Aerin, and I departed, you all continued to visit us, and things were okay. My parents remained unaware of my life in Shangri, believing we had simply resigned from our jobs. They also have no idea about the real identity of Balin and Aerin. The news of my resignation was joy to my family's ears. As my father was thrilled at the prospect of me joining his company, he had always hoped I would take over the family business, one day.Yeah... and he made me take over while helping Balin start his own company in the human world. Everything seemed fine, but a void and unanswered questions remained in my heart." With a heavy sigh, she confesses, "Leaving seemed like the right choice at that heat of the moment, but it wasn't. My heart no longer feels like my own. Balin urged me to move on, find true love, get married, and start a family." She pauses, chuckling, "You all know the lengths he went to in order to find me a match. Aerin... I'm not going to start on that. Eventually, they persuaded me, introducing Harish into the mix."
Her tone shifts, becoming more intense, "Everything was going smoothly tonight until my meeting with Dae-Hyun. He mentioned a rumor circulating in the mystical realm that Syaoran might still be alive. Aerin dismissed it as gossip, reminding me that we witnessed his death. Yet, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the story. My mind couldn't stop racing, recalling suspicions that I had after Eliphas's death, believing he had connections to the unknown man and for some reason Eliphas hid the truth from us. Balin reassured me that it's not possible and if there was some connection, he could have at least given a hint to any of us but he didn't...which means...it's just your illusion.' Balin urged me to focus on the present and let go of the past. After clearing my mind, they both retired for the night. As I drifted off to sleep, I saw that unknown man outside my window. When I rushed towards the window hoping to find him but found no one. Conflicted with my thoughts I realized that he held the answers for all my questions. The emotions and fears I experienced at that moment were overwhelming, unlike anything that I had felt before. Trusting my strong intuition, I fled from my wedding, sensing something was amiss. If Syaoran was indeed alive, he must be planning something significant. Though I'm aware that I will deeply hurt my family and Harish by running away, I believe it was the best decision for all of us. " Convinced that the unknown man represents Amritis' dark, mysterious destiny, she resolves to confront it head-on. Amriti is determined to uncover the truth behind her intuition and Eliphas's death which was tormenting her for years.
"I thought we had come to an understanding about this long before, Amriti," the master seemed concerned. He feared that Amriti's peace and bright future would be destroyed if she hadn't fully moved on from the past. He thought it was all only in Amriti's head.
"It's been five years, and again, she is back to the starting point..." Balin seemed distressed.
"I'm sure I saw that unknown guy tonight, and I believe somehow he is linked with Eliphas... Rumors about Syaoran have been circulating for three years, but somewhere in my heart, I didn't feel good about this rumor. Every rumor has a little amount of truth in it. If I want to leave my past completely, then I must find answers to all the questions that have been tormenting me for years. I must confirm with my own eyes and ears... whether it is true or not," Amriti said, with no motive to change her decision.
Aerin questioned her, "What if it all turns out to be just your illusion, Amriti? What will you do?"
"I'm sure it's not my illusion, but if it turns out to be... then I will finally be able to discover my peace, Aerin."
"Okay, leave out everything... what about your parents... how will you handle them?" Balin tried to make her understand the situation.
"I hope they will understand..." Amriti was not happy to see her parents suffering, but she was left with no choice.
"Let her be... she has decided... and none of our words will reach her. Since you have access to a purple card I can't deny your stay here, Amriti. But remember that you will be responsible for all your actions no matter what happens. Sometimes the fate we go in search of will come at a cost, don't forget that... Now, I have a meeting to attend, if you'll excuse me. At least let me use my time in a meaningful way," the master was displeased with her decision and at the same time he felt sorry for her.
Before the master left, he turned towards Vishakanya. "I didn't forget that you are here, Vishakanya... what about the assignment that I assigned you?" Seeing her fearful and embarrassed reaction on her face, he continued, "No wonder you are here so soon. You failed, right?" He seemed furious.
"Master, I will find a way," Vishakanya said, feeling sorry.
"Why are people around me so useless or stupid?" The master shouted at her face. "Nothing's going my way today... Let me at least attend the meeting with Ryuk. I have no idea what bomb he is going to blast on me..." The master left the cafe after venting out his frustration.
"Don't worry, the master was so excited to attend Amriti's wedding... since it all went south, he is upset," Angad told them the reason behind the master's anger.
"I can understand him, that's how I feel right now," Balin's agony was evident in his tone.
"What do we do now... wait... what's the situation in Amriti's place?" Angad questioned with curiosity and worry.
Vishakanya also added, "Even I wonder about that."
"What are friends for... It turns out to be my routine to clean up the mess which she creates… always," Balin said in a dejected tone.
"We knew that she would do something stupid... the moment her thoughts knocked on to Syaoran, Eliphas, and that unknown guy. Balin got it wrapped up,” Aerin told humbly. But she didn’t know the details because she was busy searching for Amriti. So, she asked him “But Balin…how did you wrap it up?”
Balin responded, “I told her family and Harish that someone called me from the hospital telling me that Amriti is hospitalized after an accident, since I was one of her emergency contacts. Hearing the news, everyone was terrified and everyone was furious…why did she have to go out at night…I cleared the air stating that Amriti told me an hour before she wishes to buy a present for Harish but I didn’t leave since it's going to be midnight soon. So, she must have sneaked out at night without anyone's knowledge as she clearly knew we wouldn’t let her out at night and I also made sure that the wedding won’t be canceled permanently.” His pride was visible a little. And then he added,
“Harish assured me that the wedding will take place in three months.”
“My goodness…accident…really…can’t you come up with a better excuse. But the postponement of the news is not bad,” Aerin exclaimed.
“Can you come up with a better excuse than this, Aerin? I did my best,” Balin responded with a laden tone.
“Wait…gift for him…I ran away to put an end to the wedding but you just postponed it…seriously Balin.” Amriti couldn’t believe her ears.
“Stop fighting for a sec… But won’t her parents, Harish, and all others rush to the hospital…but you all are here, right now…” Vishakanya was freaked out as she pointed out the question.
“No worries…on that part, I called out for my old friend Esmeralda, she gave me the word that she will handle the situation. She is a witch from a powerful Taira clan, people from her clan can transform into anybody as they wish. She assured me that her sister will take the form of Amriti and get hospitalized, while she and her other sister will take my and Aerin's forms and keep things wrapped up for the next twenty-four hours. And she will also take care of all the hospital things as her boyfriend owns one. So, we three have to return within the next twenty-four hours.”
Are you kidding me? You asked Esmeralda for help. Can't you find someone else? You went to your first love to save the day... really?" Aerin seemed unhappy to let Balin handle the matter.
"Aerin, is that really important now? That was his puppy love, not even his teenage love. Can't you see the real problem? She is an emotionless she-devil. Who knows what kind of drama is happening right there?" Amriti has a quiet history with Esmeralda, so she wasn't feeling thankful towards her for helping Amriti out.
"She was the only one who was ready to help us out in the human world at that moment. If it wasn’t for her, things would have taken a bad shape." Balin was wondering why Aerin and Amriti were not ready to look on the bright side. Amriti and Aerin got silent after hearing his words as they had nothing to say.
After a moment of silence, Amriti added, "I thought the wedding would be canceled, but what a good thing you have done, Balin."
"How in the world can he let that happen? A guy like Harish is a rare gem." Aerin is supportive of Balin.
"Just a second before, you were pissed that he sought help from Esmeralda, that Tairian witch, but now you are taking his side." Amriti couldn’t argue further as she found no point in elaborating.
Vishakanya says with a grin, "Isn’t it fun, Angad? To witness a couple fight and see how a committed girl goes after an unrequited love... Some great fun is cooking down right here. I’m excited about the future that’s about to come."
"Have all the fun, Vish," Amriti rebuked her and questioned with an unhappy tone, "Why... guys... wasn’t it a great change to put an end to the wedding?"
"I'm your dream, sweetie... what will you do when all your theories turn into dust, and have you ever considered your parents' feelings? Three months left until we clear the air in your mind and then the wedding happens," Aerin was concerned about Amriti’s future as she feared that Amriti was hoping for something that was not real.
"Wait... we... three months... guys," Amriti was horrified.
Balin responded, "Do you think we will let you chase down that unknown mysterious destiny all alone?" Balin and Aerin feared that something might happen to Amriti when she goes in search of that unknown guy. So, they decided to go with her, and they were not ready to lose another friend again in this supernatural world.
"What would happen if I was right... then... will you cancel the wedding?" Amriti questions them.
"If your intuition turns out to be true then... yes..." Aerin assures Amriti.
"So, you think it can be true, Aerin?" Angad was confused.
Amriti says, "No, Angad, they wanted to protect me because they care for me, but at the same time, they wanted to prove me wrong, including the master... otherwise, why did you think master went smooth on me?"
"Well, you can say anything you want, only when you see it for yourself… you will be back to the present," Balin retorted with a pique.
"Let’s find him, let you see for yourself that I was right?" Amriti was confident that her intuition had never once gone wrong.
Since the situation was tense, Vishakanya interrupted, "Does anyone need a King De-Luna Delight drink? It's almost time for our famous magical chef to open his cafe. How about I go and get your drinks?"
"That's a great idea, Vish," Angad was delighted after hearing the drink's name.
"Angad, what about the customers down there? Won't they miss you if you enjoy the drink and leave them all alone?" Vishakanya was being playful.
"I changed my shift with Nova. Don't remind me about those customers during my leisure time. I regret taking this job. Not even one is normal," Angad's face was filled with all kinds of exasperation.
With a twinkling smile, Aerin says, "What happens if the master hears this?"
"A new fire-phoenix and a unicorn were added to our Shangri woodland recently," as Angad changed the topic. A familiar voice interrupted them; it was the master's assistant, Arthit.
"What a pleasant scenario, a spy along with the retired swordsman, assassin, and healer. I never thought that I would ever witness the moment the great assassin of Shangri flees her wedding and is chased down by her swordsman and healer. What a twist of fate," Arthit laughs.
"Stop being such a jerk," Vishakanya scolds him.
"But it's so good to meet you all after a long time, guys," Arthit was happy to see them all doing well after that tragic battle.
"It's so good to see you too, Arthit," as Aerin said, Balin showed his hands in the air with a smile.
"It reminds me of old times" Amriti exclaims.
Arthit responded, "Indeed."
Two customers happened to visit the cafe at that moment and noticed the waiter was not there. Seeing that, Angad told them to take their seats and he would call the waiter to take-in their orders. After binding goodbye to others, Angad departed, first.
Arthit said, "I came to inform Vishakanya that the master wants to meet her now. I hope it will be regarding the assignment she messed up because Ryuk also visited the master regarding that."
"If Ryuk is involved, it must be something really important," Aerin said with an intense tone as all others agreed with it.
With a deep exhale, Vishakanya said, "If Ryuk is involved in this matter, then my life is going to turn complicated from now onwards."
Vishakanya received the refreshments as Angad was preoccupied with some work. She delivered the drinks, and they all had a great time together for a few minutes, including Arthit, till they finished the King DeLuna Delight. After that, she departed with Arthit. Balin reminded Aerin and Amriti that they needed to get to the hospital within a few hours. After a few minutes, Balin, Amriti, and Aerin also left the cafe to visit the armaments division to obtain some mystical weapons before departing from Shangri. They plotted their next action as they traveled. They all set off on a fascinating voyage that would alter everyone's lives, starting in Shangri, a mystical realm.
