Title: " Echoes of Heart"

In childhood's light, a boy so bright,
An extrovert with heart's delight.
With open arms, he'd welcome all,
But found his gains were always small.
He gave his best, one hundred fold,
Yet pennies only were his hold.
Investing time for others' cheer,
But found their time was rarely near.
A second choice, a fading friend,
In friendships that would often end.
With maturity, the truth he saw,
They left for reasons cheap and raw.
His dreams were big, his heart was kind,
Yet shadows often clouded his mind.
He'd stand by friends through thick and thin,
But felt alone when days grew dim.
In crowds, his laughter filled the air,
Yet solitude would meet him there.
He'd lift the spirits, mend the breaks,
But found his own heart full of aches.
A heart so pure, amidst the storm,
Compared to toxics, yet his form
Was best, and that's the truest part,
For he remains the boy with heart.
Through trials faced and lessons learned,
With every bridge he crossed or burned,
The boy stayed true, though scars he bore,
His spirit strong, his heart still pure.
For all the love he freely gave,
And every kindness he would save,
The world would see, eventually,
That boy of light and warmth was me.
