"I will tell my father"

I will tell my father the world was never like you.
I will pen in the candlelight with my sobs cutting the silence with blew.
I will pen sitting in this unknown land, miles away from him.
I will complain my father, you lied a lot to me to bring that innocent smile;
and left me to learn the lessons of life

I will complain to my father, why you taught to leave quiet footprints amidst the chaos loud?
I will complain my father, about his fake tales of my beauty that he sang to me.
I will complain my father, for why you taught me to give all and never expect anything in lieu?
I will complain to my father, why you promised of everytime holding the guiding light on the other end of the tunnel?
I will tell my father,
the world was never my cup of tea The men and women around me were never my people,
you were the only one who loved me
unconditional.
I crave for your protected shield, your skinny hands at my back
But now I have learnt the life's trick
to hit you hardest and ensure to prick.
Now your daughter sings songs of complaint and crib about the lessons of life un taught;
But she also holds the flame of self belief, never to be flickered by winds of adversities.
She also battles everyday only to never let you down, win to the best of her abilities.
For you there in the heavenly abode where my pangs might not reach;
You would say Oh! she learnt everything that i forgot to teach
